By the end of this article you will know what DealGround does, how to run your first property search, and where each major feature lives in the app.
What DealGround is
DealGround is a commercial real estate research platform. It combines four kinds of data on one map: property and parcel records from county assessors, title and mortgage history, tenant and lease detail extracted from brochures (offering memorandums), and live ownership research that identifies and contacts the real owner behind an entity.
DealGround is not a listing service. It receives newly listed properties, but its purpose is what you do with them: find owners, build prospect lists, and pull comps.
The five places you will spend your time
Explore — the map and property search. Filter by property type, size, lease terms, financials, and sale history, then work in map view or list view.
My Lists — saved lists of properties for prospecting, comps, or client work. Lists are where bulk ownership research and exports happen.
Saved search — a set of filters you saved, with an optional weekly email when new matching properties appear.
Ownership info — the log of every ownership research run your team has done.
Settings — subscription, credits, team management, document uploads, integrations, and notification preferences.
Your first search
Open Explore and pan or search to the market you cover.
Use Property Type in the filter bar to pick Retail, Industrial, Office, Multifamily, or Land. Expand a type to select specific subtypes such as Car Wash or Cold Storage.
Click More for the full filter set: NOI, cap rate, building and land size, year built, lease terms, price, sale history, and market status.
Click a property to open its detail panel, with parcel data, transaction and mortgage history, tenants, and any brochures on file.
Save what you find: bookmark individual properties to a list, or use Add all to save the whole result set.
What to do next
Run ownership research on a property to get the owner's contact information.
Save a search and turn on alerts so new matching properties come to you.
Upload your own brochures and comp sheets so your private documents are searchable alongside DealGround's data.
