This article explains the three states a DealGround account can be in, so you know what you have access to right now and what changes when you subscribe.

Free account

You get a free account by signing up without entering payment details. You will not be charged for a free account, and there is no card on file.

What you can do: search and browse every property on the map, view parcels, see owner names and mailing addresses, run ownership research using your free credits, save properties to lists, save searches, and upload your own brochures.

Credits: a new team receives 10 ownership research credits, which expire 30 days after signup.

What is hidden: deeper property data appears blurred until you subscribe. This includes building and lot size, year built, tenant details, list price and cap rate, transaction and sale history, mortgage and lender detail, assessed values and taxes, zoning, lease terms and rent rolls, broker contact details, and the AI features.

Free trial

The free trial is 14 days and starts when you subscribe. You enter payment details to begin the trial, but you are not charged until the 14 days elapse. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be billed.

During the trial you have full paid access. Nothing is blurred.

Paid subscription

After the trial ends, your card is charged and your plan's full credit allocation is granted. All property data, exports, AI features, and integrations are unlocked.

Common points of confusion

  • "I never entered my banking info — can I be charged?" No. If you never entered payment details, you have a free account, not a trial, and there is nothing to bill.

  • "Why is my data blurred again?" If a payment fails, or if your team has more members than you have paid seats, the account is treated as unsubscribed and data is blurred until that is resolved.

  • "I subscribed to an annual plan but don't see all my credits." Your full annual allocation is granted after the trial period ends and your first payment succeeds.
