By the end of this article you will know how many ownership research credits your plan includes, when they arrive, what each action costs, and when they expire. This is the most common question we get, so it is worth two minutes.

Credits are a shared team pool

Credits belong to your team, not to individual users. Anyone on the team can spend from the same balance, and any result one person pays for is visible to everyone. Your balance is shown in the navigation bar, and on Settings > Credits if you have a subscription.

How many credits you get

  • Free account: 10 credits, granted at signup.

  • Monthly plan: 50 credits per month, granted each time your monthly payment succeeds.

  • Annual plan: 2,000 credits, granted after your trial ends and your first payment succeeds.

If you are on an annual plan and do not yet see your full allocation, it is because the trial has not ended or the first payment has not been processed. The credits arrive with the payment, not with the signup.

What each action costs

  • Ownership research on a property: 1 credit per property.

  • Contact enrichment: 1 credit per contact.

  • Grant deed pull: 5 credits.

Properties your team has already researched do not cost anything to view again, and they are excluded from the count before a batch runs. If part of a batch fails, the credits for the failed portion are returned to your balance.

When credits expire

Each grant of credits carries its own expiry date:

  • Free account credits expire 30 days after signup.

  • Monthly plan credits expire 30 days after they are granted.

  • Annual plan credits expire one year after they are granted.

  • Purchased credit packages expire 30 days after purchase.

Credits do not roll over in any practical sense. On a monthly plan, an unused balance expires at roughly the same time the next month's grant arrives, so treat each month's credits as use-it-or-lose-it. Plan bulk ownership research accordingly rather than saving credits up.

Credits are forfeited when you cancel

When a subscription is cancelled, all remaining credits — including any packages you purchased separately — are zeroed immediately. If you have a large balance and are considering cancelling, spend it first.

Checking your balance

The navigation bar shows your available credits at all times. Settings > Credits shows the balance plus how much of your current allocation you have used. Note that the "used" figure counts only credits from allocations that have not yet expired, so it resets rather than accumulating across the life of the account.
