By the end of this article you will know whether DealGround covers your market and asset type, and what data to expect on a given property.
Geographic coverage
DealGround covers the entire United States. Property attributes, ownership information, zoning, and mortgage history are available on all parcels nationwide.
Depth varies by data type:
Parcel, assessor, and transaction data — national, sourced from county records. Completeness follows what each county publishes.
Ownership research — national, run live per query.
Tenant information — national, with quality depending on the municipality.
Lease detail, NOI, and cap rates — extracted from brochures. Brochure coverage is national but density varies by region and is heaviest in the last 24 months.
Property types you can filter on
The property type filter covers five top-level types, each with subtypes:
Retail — Bank, Convenience Store, Day Care/Education, QSR/Fast Food, Gas Station, Supermarket/Grocery, Pharmacy/Drug Store, Restaurant, General Retail, Automotive, Car Wash, Medical, Specialty, Other
Industrial — Distribution, Flex, Warehouse, R&D, Manufacturing, Refrigerated/Cold Storage, Other
Office — Traditional, Executive, Medical, Creative, Other
Multifamily — Apartment Building, Student Housing, Single Family Rental Portfolio, RV Park, Other
Land — Agricultural, Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Farm, Ranch, Timber, Hunting/Recreational, Islands, Other
Asset types not currently in the type filter
Self storage, hospitality, and other special-purpose assets are not currently selectable as property types. The underlying parcels are still in DealGround and you can find them by location, tenant name, or building characteristics, and run ownership research on them — but you cannot filter the map down to them by type. If this affects your work, email [email protected]; we track these requests.
Vacant land
Yes. Land is a full property type with subtypes, and ownership research works on vacant parcels the same way it does on improved property.
Historical depth
Transaction and mortgage history — historical records across the United States.
Brochures and offering memorandums — as far back as 2001, with coverage concentrated in the last 24 months.
Adding coverage yourself
You can upload your own brochures, comp sheets, and rent rolls, and they become searchable alongside DealGround's data while staying private to your team. Where regional brochure coverage is thin, this is the fastest way to fill it.
Where the data comes from
DealGround aggregates title data, mortgage history, assessor records, brochures, and owner information. Brochures are sourced automatically at roughly 250 new on-market documents per day, alongside a historical archive.
