Viewing parcels on the map

How to see parcel boundaries, list every parcel in view, and why parcels sometimes do not appear.

This article explains how to see parcel boundaries on the map, how to list every parcel in the current view, and what to do when parcels do not appear.

Viewing parcels individually

Zoom into the map. Once you are zoomed in far enough, parcel boundaries render on top of the map and you can click any parcel to open its details — assessor data, owner name and mailing address, and the option to run ownership research.

Listing every parcel in view

  1. Zoom in until the map control box in the top right shows the Show parcels in list checkbox.

  2. Tick it. The results list is replaced by every parcel polygon currently in view.

  3. Use Add all to save the parcels in view to a saved list.

This is the fastest way to build a prospect list for a specific block, corridor, or industrial park.

Why parcels are not showing

  • You are not zoomed in far enough. This is the usual reason. The parcel toggle only appears past a zoom threshold, and the passive parcel overlay requires zooming in further still. You will see "Zoom in to start viewing parcel data" until you cross it.

  • Too many parcels in view. If the area contains more parcels than can be listed, you will see "Too many parcels in view, zoom in to see the parcel list". Zoom in further.

  • No assessor data in the area. Some areas have no assessor coverage; you will see "No assessor data in the area".

  • You are not signed in. Parcel view requires an account. Signed-out visitors are prompted to sign up.

  • You are inside a saved list or a property detail view. The parcel toggle is hidden in both. Return to the main Explore map.

Two things to know while using parcel view

  • "Search as map moves" is disabled while parcel view is on. Turn parcel view off to resume searching as you pan.

  • Clicking a row and clicking a polygon behave differently. Clicking a parcel row highlights the polygon and opens its detail panel. Clicking the polygon on the map does that and opens the map popup. This is intentional.

The parcel list is capped

Parcel view lists up to 1,000 parcels at a time. If your area holds more, zoom in and work through it in sections.
