By the end of this article you will know how to save a search, how alerts work and when they arrive, and how to control which DealGround emails you receive.
Saving a search
On Explore, set the filters and map area you want.
Click Save Search in the filter bar. It is disabled until at least one filter is set — you cannot save an empty search.
Give the search a name and leave Email me updates on if you want alerts.
DealGround saves your filters and the map area you were viewing. Both are restored when you reopen the search.
Reopening and managing saved searches
Go to Saved search in the navigation. Each card shows the search name, and "Alerts enabled" where alerts are on. Click a card to reopen it with filters, chips, and the map area restored. The three-dot menu on each card lets you toggle email alerts or remove the search.
How alerts work
Frequency: alerts are sent once a week, on Wednesday mornings. They are not real-time.
What triggers one: properties matching your saved search that were added or updated in the previous seven days.
Each property is sent once. A property that has already appeared in an alert for a given saved search will not appear in that search's alerts again, even if it changes later.
Each email lists up to 50 properties.
Alerts cover brochure-sourced listings — new and updated listings, price changes, NOI changes, options and sale updates. They do not alert on assessor-only records.
Two things that will surprise you
A saved search needs a map area to alert on. If you saved a search without a defined map area, it is skipped when alerts run. Reopen the search, position the map over your target market, and save it again.
Alerts evaluate a subset of your filters. Location, tenant, date on market, size, city and state, tenancy, type and subtype, NOI, listed price, sold date, options, and lease end are all applied. Cap rate, year built, number of units, market status, drive-thru, sold price, and debt maturity are not applied when alerts run. Your weekly email can therefore be broader than what you see on the map. Filter the results when you click through.
Controlling which emails you get
Go to Settings > Notifications. There is a master switch plus one toggle per email type: saved search alerts, saved list alerts, weekly upload recaps, and weekly brochure automation summaries. Turning the master switch off pauses all of them while preserving your individual choices.
Note that this page and the per-search toggle work together: a saved search only emails you if both its own alert toggle and the Notifications setting are on. If your team admin has disabled a category for the whole team, it shows as locked here.
