DealGround integrates directly with HubSpot: connect once, then send owners over as deals and contacts. For Salesforce and any other CRM, dialer or email tool (Pipedrive, Act!, Outlook, Mailchimp, Constant Contact and so on), export your owners to Excel and import the file. There's no direct Salesforce integration yet.
Syncing and exporting don't use credits.
First, research the owners
Only researched owners can go to a CRM. Run Get owner info on a property, or Owner Info on a list, and let it finish before you sync or export.
HubSpot sync sends only the properties that have owner research.
In an export, properties without owner research have blank owner columns. That includes research that's still running, so export again once it's done.
HubSpot: sync directly
Connect HubSpot
Go to Settings > Integrations and click Connect HubSpot.
Sign in to HubSpot and approve the connection.
Once you're connected, the page shows your HubSpot portal number and four tabs: Connection, Contacts, Field mapping and Sync history.
Each teammate connects their own HubSpot account. Connecting yours doesn't connect anyone else's.
HubSpot only lets users with Super Admin or App Marketplace access permission connect apps. If HubSpot says you don't have permission, ask your HubSpot admin.
Sync one property
Open a property you've researched and click View owner info.
Next to the owner's primary contact, click Sync to HubSpot.
Review the fields that will be written to the deal and the contact, then click Sync now. If the sync would replace values already in HubSpot, the review says how many and the button reads Sync anyway.
When it's done, the owner panel shows Last synced with a View in HubSpot link.
Sync a list
Open the list from My Lists.
Select the properties you want, or select none to sync the whole list.
Click Actions > Sync to HubSpot and confirm.
Only properties with owner research are sent. The confirmation shows how many.
You can sync up to 500 properties at a time. For a bigger list, select up to 500 per sync.
When it finishes, a message shows how many properties synced, were skipped or failed.
What lands in HubSpot
By default, each property you sync creates:
A deal named after the property's address, with a DealGround URL field that links back to the property. DealGround adds this field to your HubSpot deals the first time you sync.
A contact for the owner's primary contact (first name, last name, phone and email), linked to the deal.
A note on the deal and contact with a View in DealGround link and the owner's name, phone, email and mailing address.
DealGround also adds a note to the property in DealGround with a link to the HubSpot deal.
Duplicates and updates
Before creating a contact, DealGround looks for the owner in your HubSpot, first by email and then by name. If it finds them, it updates that contact instead of adding a new one.
If no contact matches the owner's email and several share the owner's name, DealGround creates the deal without a contact rather than guess.
Syncing a property again updates the same deal, contact and note. It doesn't create a second deal.
Blank values are never sent, so a sync won't erase what's already in HubSpot. It can replace values: syncing one property shows you which ones first, but a list sync doesn't.
Each person's syncs are tracked separately. If two teammates sync the same property into one shared HubSpot account, HubSpot gets two deals, so agree on who syncs which lists.
Sync goes one way, from DealGround to HubSpot. Edits you make in HubSpot don't change anything in DealGround.
Choose which fields sync
Out of the box, the deal gets the property address (as the deal name) and the DealGround link, and the contact gets the owner's name, phone and email. To send more:
Go to Settings > Integrations > Field mapping.
Under Contact or Deal, click Add field, then pick the DealGround field and the HubSpot property it should fill.
Click Save changes.
Contacts can take the owner's name (full, or first and last), phone, email and mailing address. Deals can take the property's address, city, state and zip, APN, property type and subtype, land use code, zoning, building and lot size, number of units, year built and effective year built, last and previous sale price and date, assessed values, market value, and tax amount and year.
The HubSpot property must already exist. To send a value HubSpot has no field for, create a custom property in HubSpot first.
Field mapping is shared by your whole team. Changes apply to everyone's next sync.
Click Preview with a sample property to see how a record would map before you save.
See HubSpot on the property page
With HubSpot connected, the Ownership section of a synced property shows a HubSpot card with the deal, the contact and recent notes, plus a View in HubSpot button. If you haven't synced a property but its owner is already a contact in your HubSpot, the card shows that contact and their notes, matched by email or name.
Check what you've synced
In Settings > Integrations:
Contacts lists every contact you've sent to HubSpot. Search by name, email or phone.
Sync history lists every property you've sent, with links to the property and the HubSpot deal.
Disconnect HubSpot
On the Connection tab in Settings > Integrations, click Disconnect. Deals and contacts already in HubSpot stay there. To sync again, reconnect.
Salesforce and other CRMs: export, then import
List exports include an Owner Info sheet laid out for CRM imports. Exporting needs a paid plan or an active trial, and each export takes up to 2,000 properties.
Open the list from My Lists. To export only some properties, select them or filter the list first.
Click Export all (it reads Export selected or Export N shown when you've selected or filtered), then confirm. You get an Excel (.xlsx) file.
Open the file and go to the Owner Info sheet.
If your CRM needs a CSV file, save that sheet as CSV. In Excel, use File > Save As and choose CSV (Excel saves only the sheet you're on). In Google Sheets, use File > Download > Comma-separated values.
Import the file with your CRM's import tool (in Salesforce, the Data Import Wizard) and match the columns to your CRM's fields.
What's on the Owner Info sheet
One row per property, in the same order as the first sheet. Every owner column starts with Current Owner or Previous Owner, so you can tell which owner it describes.
Property address, city, state and zip
The owning entity's name and address
The primary contact's first name, last name, title and company
Up to three phones (Phone 1 to Phone 3) and three emails (Email 1 to Email 3)
The contact's own street address, city, state and zip
Research notes
The Previous Owner columns are filled when you've researched the previous owner.
Matching the columns
Most CRMs map like this:
Current Owner First Name and Last Name → First Name and Last Name
Current Owner Company (or Entity Name when Company is blank) → Company or Account
Current Owner Title → Title
Current Owner Phone 1 → Phone, and Phone 2 and Phone 3 → Mobile or other phone fields
Current Owner Email 1 → Email
Current Owner Street Address, City, State and Zip → Mailing address
Property Address → a custom field or note, so you know which property each owner came from
Before you import
Delete rows with blank owner columns (properties you haven't researched) so your CRM doesn't create empty records.
The sheet has one contact per owner: the primary contact.
Export every owner you've researched
To export owners from all of your team's research rather than one list, click Owner Info in the top navigation, then Export all (up to 2,000), or tick rows and export just those. That file has one row per property, with the owner, the primary contact's name, title, email and phone, and a link to the property. The contact's name is in one column, so split it into first and last name if your CRM needs both.
Use Claude or ChatGPT as a bridge
If you've connected DealGround to Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant (see Using the DealGround MCP connector) and your CRM also connects to that assistant, you can ask it to move owners for you. For example: "Take the owners on my DealGround list Retail owners and add them to my CRM as contacts." Owners you've already researched cost nothing. The assistant asks before it spends credits on new research.
Good to know
Do Not Call labels stay in DealGround. Exports and HubSpot syncs don't carry them, so check a number in DealGround before you cold call it.
Troubleshooting
Sync to HubSpot takes me to Settings. HubSpot isn't connected for your account yet. Each teammate connects their own.
I don't see Sync to HubSpot on a property. It appears in the owner panel once owner research has found a contact.
Sync to HubSpot is greyed out on a list. None of the selected properties has owner research, the list's last sync is still running, or the list is still loading.
HubSpot rejected the request. Reconnect HubSpot in Settings > Integrations and check that your HubSpot user has permission to connect apps.
A sync fails after you changed the field mapping. The error names the HubSpot property that's missing or the wrong type. Fix or remove that row in Field mapping.
The list sync won't start. You may have selected more than 500 properties. Sync in batches of 500 or fewer.
